Dear Physiotherapist, are you taking care of your most valuable assets?

Dear Physiotherapist.

Are you taking care of your most valuable assets and tools?

Effortlessly and smoothly, moving and rubbing oil deep into the tissues.  Feeling then sensing with a deeper awareness and knowing where the muscles are tighter that they should be.  The life of a physiotherapist is unique and special.

The connection with the human body, with healthy appropriate touch by hands, is through the neuromusculoskeletal system.  Muscles overlying bones with vital, sensitive nerves intertwining, curving, passing close to muscles and bones.

Physiotherapy is a profession to be treasured, where through human touch the physiotherapist carefully palpates through the largest organ, the skin.

This fascination with the palpating hands on skin for the last 16 years has allowed me to think about the longevity of a Physiotherapist’s career.  With our two hands working, sensing, pressing and releasing, session after session, hours on end.

Education on how to use your hands for various techniques, to have longevity, healthy and pain free hands after 45 years of musculoskeletal work… this is my intent.

Wishing you a long, abundant and pain free career.

Much love
