START YOUR EXAM PREPARATIONS EARLY
A learner who knows how to manage his study efforts effectively also knows that he must start exam preparations early, because excessive anxiety inhibits thinking which means that information processing cannot take place effectively. When information processing did not take place properly during the input phase, you are more likely to forget important information during tests. The effective management of the learning environment and resources enables you to exercise control over it, which leads to more effective information processing and therefore learning success. Starting early means that you have ample time to plan how you want to study. It also gives you more time to get in some tips from your teachers and clarify uncertainties. A head start gives you enough time to make a study table and get into the groove of study. It also means you have sufficient time to figure out what works for you and ease yourself into a study routine. Another advantage of starting your exam preparations early is that it can help you to delve deeper into your study material and secure those extra marks. This can really make a big difference. By starting early you will also have time to do practise tests, which is an important aspect of preparing for an exam. So, do yourself a favour, start your exam preparation as early as possible.
