When you are seeking positive experiences by planning something you can look forward to and enjoy, it can help to reduce anxiety during uncertain times. A bit of joy in your day will also lift your spirits.

In planning for the future, focus on the present and the near future because you have more control over it. Identify the positive or enjoyable aspects of every day, such as a pleasant conversation or a good cup of coffee that was memorable. It is important to remember that you can actively influence how you react to uncertain times, and that you can keep a positive outlook despite challenges.
