TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR THOUGHTS

April 21, 2022 Uncategorized 0

Take control of your thoughts because when thoughts run amok chances are good that they are negative or self-abusive, and unproductive. Although thoughts are heavily affected by experiences, genetics, and education; we can also influence it because they are generally under conscious control. As you consider that the average person thinks thousands of thoughts a day, you can provide yourself with a greater level of peace in your mind if you change your thoughts to be more positive. On top of that your feelings will also change. Emotions and thoughts influence each other profoundly. When you change your thoughts to be more positive you will eliminate many of the triggers that cause negative feelings to arise.

If you want to function at peak performance levels, it is important to learn to react well and express your emotions in a healthy way, otherwise negative emotions will leave you feeling out of control and depleted. However, it is equally important to examine and manage your thoughts. Thoughts can trigger emotions. For instance, you might catch yourself thinking that you are likely to fail at an important test. Thoughts like these can cause fear and can leave you unmotivated. Have faith in yourself and don’t let negative thoughts ruin your performance. Positive thoughts and attitudes lead to productive behaviour, which increases your chances of success.
