BECOME MENTALLY FIT
Optimism is a true indicator of mental health. If you want to improve your mental health, you need to improve your thinking skills in very specific ways and learn how to control your thoughts towards a more optimistic outlook. Thinkers who are optimistic are full of hope and focus on the possibilities that can come their way. To encourage optimism consider listening to motivational podcasts, getting a calendar or planner that includes inspiring quotes, read motivational books, or subscribe to social media channels that publish uplifting content daily. Feeling grateful makes you happier and more optimistic, therefore keep a gratitude journal to help you focus on the good things in your life.
It is always good to commit to some form of exercise, as fit and healthy bodies contribute to good mental health and self-esteem. Exercising not only helps to improve mood, boost memory and brain activity, but also improve learning and attention. However, an overworked body and mind have a negative attitude, making it difficult to remain optimistic. Thus, schedule regular breaks from your daily obligations and responsibilities. When you give yourself personal time on a regular basis, you will be more optimistic and satisfied. You can also boost your mental health and outlook by spending more time with the people in your life whom you admire for their optimism. Positive attitudes are contagious.
