STUDY A LITTLE BIT EVERY DAY
It is a good habit to do some study related work every day as our memories work in two ways known as short term memory and long term memory. It is usually better to break your study material up in short bite size bits and then go over your work regularly. The first time you learn about something new in class, it is stored in you short term memory. If you don’t do something with that information you are likely to forget the information in a short while. However, if you go over your class notes that afternoon and keep reading and reviewing that information, it will soon be transferred into your long-term memory.
Learning involves effort. A key element in student success and achievement is hard work. If you are able to put in some daily study time you will definitely reap the benefits as it will help you to stay on top of things. If you do a small bit of studying every day, your mind will be constantly going over what you’ve learned. This clarifies things for you and aids in your understanding. Additionally, it lessens the strain of last-minute studying. Although prioritizing daily study time may require you to cut back on some of your other activities, you should still keep a healthy balance in mind that includes some fun activities.
