PROGRAM YOUR BRAIN FOR SUCCESS
Mankind has long been aware of the influence of positive thinking and many have personal experience of it – yet few can provide a scientific explanation for it. The thought process is very complex and each thought involves thousands of brain cells. When a person thinks, certain electrical and chemical changes take place in the brain. Thoughts are carried by electrical impulses that travel along the axons and dendrites of brain cells. When a message has to be transmitted from one brain cell to another at the synapse (gap between the dendrites), the electrical impulse is converted into a biochemical substance. However, it is in your unconscious mind that most of our thinking activities occur. This is only a simplistic explanation of what happens in the brain during the thought process, but it is during this conversion of the electrical impulse to the correct biochemical substance that thinking and positive brain programming play a cardinal role. If you repeatedly tell yourself that you cannot do math, your brain is programmed to realize this information and when you proceed to perform this action, the right information cannot get through because the electrical impulse is not converted into the right biochemical substance. By programming your mind with positive thoughts each day, you will be in a better position to reach your goals and also less likely to be deterred by external criticism.
