The Helping Hand Amplified Team consists of a physiotherapist with a love for the human hand, a private foundation phase tutor, foundation phase teachers, parents and private remediation educators.  We share this fundamental viewpoint.  Optimizing every child’s literacy capacity will empower them to reach their dreams, become inspirational citizens, and literacy can even be the catalyst for personal healing…

Nelson Mandela one of the wisest, inspirational and humble human beings, made full use of 27 years of incarceration, by studying, reading and writing.  He walked out of prison, his proverbial “Long walk to freedom” with a draft of the book written while in prison. Could it be the practice of literacy, reading and writing, that allowed Madiba to become not only a Nobel Prize winner, humanitarian, but the person who changed a nation.

In Madiba’s own words, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

Our NPO creates literacy programs that are innovative, creative, and fun.

Our wish for every child is to be literate, but also for some who are going through tough socioeconomic circumstances to use, as Madiba did, reading and writing for their personal healing.
