It is important to limit multitasking because it not only steal your focus but also elevates brain fatigue and increases stress. When you block out relatively unimportant information, like WhatsApp messages, the television or videos playing in the background, you will improve your ability to focus on your work. It is best to choose a proper place to study and never try to study or do homework while watching TV. Any attempt to multitask like this will minimize your productivity. To have a fruitful study session, you need to remove all external stimuli that take your focus away from the task at hand. We have already discussed some strategies to get rid of distractions like putting your mobile phone on silent mode. However, if you find it hard not to steal glances at your mobile phone when it’s right by your side, you could ask your parents to take away your phone or tablet every evening at 18:00. Don’t let a lack of willpower get in your way of success.
